The Fourth Annual Whole Vine Festival returns Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Fresno State campus. Admission, parking and the Kids Zone are free.
The San Joaquin Valley grows table grapes, raisin grapes and wine grapes side by side. Nearly every raisin in America is grown within about 60 miles of Fresno, and 99% of the country’s commercially grown table grapes come from California. The Whole Vine Festival brings that story to the public with a full, free day of tastings, live music, local makers and a Kids Zone built around agriculture.
What’s New in 2026
- Valley Heritage farmer stories. Tall banners on the grounds tell the stories of five Valley grape farmers: raisin grower Steve Reitz, table grape grower George Rodriguez, wine grape growers Nick and Brian Davis, Randy Kazarian and father-and-son raisin growers Albert and Maurice Smith, with a QR code to each full story.
- Fresno State Winery honored at the 10 AM opening ceremony. Its student-made wines earned four gold medals this year, two of them double gold.
- New in the Kids Zone: a family Scarecrow Contest and a Movie Tent, joining the Fresno Discovery Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County, Fresno Metro Ministry and a petting zoo.
- Halloween candy giveaway for kids in costume, 3 to 5 p.m.
