In a continued effort to connect science with practice and to support the Texas grape and wine industry, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service – Viticulture and Enology team is pleased to announce an upcoming Viticulture and Wine Science Research Symposium. This event will showcase the impactful research and extension work of Texas A&M faculty, staff, and graduate students, and highlight how these efforts translate directly to the vineyard and winery.
The symposium will take place on December 12th and 13th 2025, over a day and a half in College Station, Texas, featuring:
- Day 1 (full day): Technical presentations from our Viticulture and Enology team, along with flash research talks by our graduate students.
- Day 2 (half day): A focused session on Pierce’s Disease–resistant Walker varieties in Texas, with presentations from academic and industry colleagues, followed by a winemaker panel and tasting.
This gathering will bring together researchers, students, winemakers, grape growers, and industry partners for an exchange of knowledge, collaboration, and networking.
