OSU Spring Vineyard Mechanization Workshop

Join us for a workshop focusing on vineyard floor management and precision spraying. This workshop will showcase information about vineyard floor management practices, implements, and how they can be effective in weed control and will showcase a new intelligent sprayer being evaluated by OSU. The event will feature live demonstrations of vineyard floor management implements and the precision sprayer.
Audience: Commercial wine grape growers/winemakers

Under-vine cultivation research updates
Dr. Marcelo Moretti, Assistant Professor of weed management, OSU and John Roncoroni UCCE Vineyard Weed Management will share information about research they are conducting with under-vine weed management methods.
Industry perspectives on under-vine weed management/cultivation
Joey Myers, vineyard manager, A to Z Wineworks/Rex Hill, will lead a discussion about industry perspectives on under-vine cultivation and it impacts on vineyard productivity and economics.
Travel to commercial vineyard for equipment demonstrations
Intelligent sprayer demonstration
Dr. Jay Pscheidt, Extension Plant Pathologist, OSU and Brent Warneke, Faculty Research Assistant, will explain and demonstrate the use of a precision sprayer designed to reduce off-target product application/drift.
Demonstration and explanation of vineyard floor management implements
Various implements will be showcased for under-vine cultivation to reduce weed populations with participation of Burrows demonstrating Clemens equipment and Mg Equipment with Agrofer equipment
