Fresno State Viticulture & Enology Seminar Series: Rachel Naegele
March 6, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pmFree
Rachel Naegele received her Master’s and PhD from Michigan State University where she grew to love plant breeding and pathology. In 2015, she joined the USDA ARS as a Research Horticulturalist for table and raisin grape breeding with an emphasis on abiotic and biotic stress resistance. Her translational-based research program uses germplasm evaluations, population genetics, and genomics to address real world problems in pest management and breeding.
During her presentation, she will be discussing the genetics, genomics and management of Botrytis cinerea on grapevines.
The seminar is held in the Enology Building Room 102 at Fresno State (north side of Barstow Avenue between Cedar and Maple) from noon to 1 pm and is open to all to attend. For more information, contact instructor Kevin Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Department of Viticulture & Enology at 559.278.2089.
The seminar is FREE; however, parking on the campus is $4 and can be purchased at one of the parking kiosks upon arrival.
