Parallel 45 Vines & Wines and Michigan State University Extension are delighted to host grape growers from all over Michigan and the Midwest to the Northwest Michigan Grapevine Nutrition and Nutrition Analysis Hybrid Meeting on July 15, 2022, from 3-5 p.m. This meeting will include an explanation of what sap analysis is, how it differs from tissue analysis, and how sap analysis assists us in determining grapevine nutrition status before physical symptoms occur.
The Northwest Michigan Grapevine Nutrition and Nutrition Analysis Hybrid Meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting via Zoom and at the Northwest Michigan Horticulture Research Center’s experimental vineyard, 6686 S Center Highway, Traverse City, MI 49684.
Our speaker will be RJ Rant, Terraform Ag’s owner and sales and technology specialist, who is a well-known consultant in the potato industry in Michigan as well as a consultant for all types of crops across North America. Rant is a self-trained biological and organic farmer who understands the need to focus on soil health. He began formulating biologicals for his own clients and because of those successes, has evolved into larger-scale production.
This meeting will be free for both in-person and virtual attendees.
We will offer two Michigan Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) applicator recertification credits for private and commercial fruit to the meeting participants. People who signed up on the sign-up sheet at the meeting and those who will be present via Zoom at the conclusion of the meeting will both receive RUP credits.
Advance registration is required. Registration closes at midnight on Wednesday, June 8, so don’t miss out! In the morning of the meeting, virtual participants will receive a Zoom link and will need to download Zoom to their computer or smartphone to participate.
