March Into Spring
March 20 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The much-celebrated rainy season was desperately needed, but when the rain stops, growers need to be ready to take control of uncharacteristic conditions in the vineyard.
The soaked ground will likely increase the risk of powdery mildew, and the way to control vertebrate pests will change. Acquiring and managing contract labor will also be challenging. Since the rain has kept much winter vineyard work from getting done, the labor contractors will be busy so it may be difficult to get them when needed.
At March Into Spring, growers, winemakers and wine industry professionals can find out how to deal with these issues. The seminar is part of IGGPRA’s “2019 Practical Grape Growing” seminar series. The annual series offers timely, practical tips from experienced industry experts on issues faced in the vineyard and winery throughout the year.
