Do you have Feral Pigs Invading your Vineyard?

Have you ever found yourself in the morning looking down the vineyard row and seeing what looks like a sumo wrestling match had taken place the night before right in your vineyard? You may likely have a problem with feral pigs.  Ryan McCreary from USDA-APHIS Wildlife Services recently addressed large wildlife pest threats in the vineyard at Malcolm Media’s Sonoma Grape Expo; and feral pigs has been an issue growers are facing around the state.  Watch his brief interview explaining how growers can identify and respond to this unwelcome vineyard guest of the night; and read more the proceedings of the Sonoma Grape Expo in the coming issue of American Vineyard Magazine.

Please thank our sponsor Duarte Nursery for their industry support and see them at their booth at Unified Wine & Grape Symposium in Sacramento, February 4-6 (Booth P1842).
